Greetings to all the Wynona School students, parents, and patrons! I can’t tell you how excited I am to begin this new school year as your Superintendent of schools! To let you know a little bit about me, here are a few bits and pieces from the history of my life so far…

After attending the University of Oklahoma for a couple of years, I transferred to East Central University to complete my B.Ed Degree. I spent 11 years in the classroom, including 1 year in Tyler, Texas. While living in Texas, I met and married my wife, Eva, and we now have 1 daughter, 3 sons, and 2 grandchildren, with a 3rd arriving soon. However, while it was still just the 2 of us, we moved to Okmulgee, Oklahoma, where I taught for another 10 years. I absolutely loved the time I spent in the classroom, but after realizing the needs of students throughout our district, I felt that moving into administration would be the best way for me to provide a positive impact on a wider scale, so I completed a M.Ed Degree in School Administration through Northeastern State University. I then continued graduate studies through OSU, including coursework to qualify for a Superintendent certificate. My first administrative position was as Assistant Principal of Okmulgee Middle School where I had previously been teaching. In the following years, I also served in the Okmulgee School District as the Primary School Principal, and then as the Freshman Academy Principal, besides directing the Okmulgee County Adult Education and Literacy Program for several years. Just prior to School Year 2011-2012, I switched gears and became a school administer for the Department of Defense Schools (DoDEA) in Germany, where I served as Assistant Principal at Kaiserslautern High School in the Rhineland-Palatinate, and then as Administrator for the Garmisch Elementary/Middle School in Bavaria. After living in Europe for over 9 years, Eva and I returned to the States in 2021, and spent a year mainly just enjoying being with our children again, who were all living in Colorado at that time. And of course, we also enjoyed doing a little camping and trout fishing during our time in Colorado. However, early in 2022, we moved to our current home in Bartlesville, and I began exploring opportunities for how and where I would continue my career in education. Now I know, and I can’t wait to see what great things our students here in Wynona are capable of creating, learning, and accomplishing. Let’s all work together to make this the best year yet for all students in our Wynona Schools!
